Review On Perfect Little Town by Blake Crouch

Posted in Book Reviews, reading on February 22, 2012 by firequeen3

Hello again.

I just finished reading Perfect little town by Blake Crouch. Another great read but If i am being totally honest then i have to say I did not enjoy this one as much as I have some of his others.

The premise is a busy couple goes on a much needed vacation and ends up in a town full of people who do a winter solctis with a bit of a deadly twist. They at first seem oblivious to the fact that they are the only two vacationers in this town. Then small things start happening. Like no rooms when they look around and see nobody else but them and then an odd dinner with a couple of unwanted extra’s added to thier dinner choices. The wife ends up injured and then their car is set on fire oh and I forgot to mention they were snowed in by a blizzard. They find some refuge after they break into a outdoor’s store. The wife is taken from the front of the store and the husband is made to go searching for her. Needless to say he is the only to make it out of this odd town. Then the book jumps to some years ahead. The town has changed. They no longer hold the winter solstice ritual. The man returns with his new wife.

The book was shorter then I had expected. It was still a good read just thought it would be longer and I guess i was expecting something different.

Still worth a read. I just liked some of his other books better.

Okay that’s it for now.

Hope you enjoyed this review.

Thanks for reading.

My Review for Trapped by J. A. Konrath

Posted in Book Reviews, reading with tags , on February 14, 2012 by firequeen3

Okay so here I am again. I read Trapped by JA Konrath. An amazing piece of writing for sure. Konrath has an amazing ability to put people in immediate danger and leaves the reader staring with their mouth agape.

While I am not a big fan of the canabals story’s. BUT>>> Again konrath has this amazing ability to just grab the reader and not let go until the very end. I myself have written books and story’s where there are canibal’s though. So not that there is anything wrong with it at all It’s just I guess he was very graphic and I found myself actually cringing at some parts and that is not easy to do with me as I have a very strong stomach and nerve for these things. for me though even though I knew what was going to happen I couldn’t bring myself to stop reading or skip over that part I had to read on. I had to know every little detail.

Anyway this book is filled with twists and turns and you find your self feeling as if you are running through the woods with this victim or villain either wanting or feeling the need to live to go on or to kill.

It’s an amazing feeling when a book just simply carry’s you along with it as if you were one with the book. It’s probably why I am such a huge fan of Crouch and Konrath they both have this ability. As do others I read.

The premiss for this book is a group of eight are on a camping trip. There is diversity in the characters. They all come from different walks of life. They all end up stranded on this island which is inhabited by a bunch of canabal’s and an evil doctor ( who truly could be a modern-day Frankenstein.) and his little band of experiments. they are all the same in one way. That they enjoy torture and murder. Yet they are all very different in likes and needs and physical.

The dynamics between the doctor and his murders is unique as is the dynamics between the group trying to survive.

This book also has a first draft included in it along with an excerpt from a couple of other Konrath books. One was Endurance which I have read and would truly recommend to anyone. It’s an amazing book. and also from one I haven’t read afraid. but I do plan on reading. the excerpt left me wanting more. I have started reading the first draft of Trapped a lot of the beginning is the same as in the published book but konrath promises there are areas it is different more intense and so again here I am reading on over parts I have already read because I can’t wait to see what has been changed what is more dark or extreme in it. Also he said there is a different sub plot and ending and so I am interested to read that.

Okay so I finished the first draft of Trapped yesterday I have to say I enjoyed the first draft more There was probably one part I liked better in the published version. (don’t get me wrong I enjoyed them both) I however did enjoy the first draft version more. I did a lot of rereading of stuff i had already read having read the published version first. But it was very worth it. The reasoning for one of our heroins being so afraid of the dark became more evident to me. In the published version it was very mild and you could see why she was afraid of the dark but nothing else really. But in the first draft Konrath delved into a darker more understandable version (at least for this reader.) the villains for the most part were the same except one. Towards the end one of our villains who comes face to face with the main heroin is indeed one from her past one that has tormented her day and night. I enjoyed that and it really ramped up the emotions in the book. Also the end of the first draft was great and it even left it open for one of our villains to return which I would have enjoyed. He was one of those villains you love to hate. So all in all I enjoyed the both except I preferred the first draft to the published version.

None the less I still highly recommend this book although I will tell you DON’T eat while reading this. LOL

That’s it for now.

Till next time.

Review for Break You by Blake Crouch.

Posted in Book Reviews, reading, Uncategorized with tags on February 10, 2012 by firequeen3

Okay so this was the last book in the three book series of Thicker then Blood. Break you was short. to short I thought because i finished it within an hour and a half. Still very well written I just wanted more though.

In this book we catch up with Andrew Z Thomas and Vicki again this time they are sharing andy’s cottage in the Yukon. Like their own little makeshift family. They Start to grow feelings for each other. Just when both of them decide to do something about those feelings. The baby goes missing from the upper loft in Andy’s cabin. Now we can all guess who is behind that. Right Luther.

The middle of the book consists of a lot of torture and game playing on Luther’s part with Andy and Vicki. Only andy manages to gain the upper hand and luther is the one being played with.

The end or the epilog of this book leads the reader to believe that one of the men is still murdering and torturing victims and that the other has become his captive. Now if you have read stirred then you know whats going on with that.

I recommend you start with the dessert places book and then work through blakes first three Andrew Z Thomas books and then read stirred trust me stirred is a wonderful amazing book written by two very interesting authors. they are both fabulous alone and together.

Well that’s it for this book of Blake crouches. I have yet to decide what I will be reading next I got 3 books of scott Nicholas’s that I have yet to read and a new book of blames I have yet to read. Oh who am I kidding I have a book addiction. LOL

I hope you have enjoyed this review even though short. Sorry Just don’t want to ruin the last book for you or the end of it. I feel i told you too much already.

Until next time.

My Review of Locked Doors by Blake Crouch

Posted in Book Reviews, reading, Uncategorized with tags , on February 9, 2012 by firequeen3

Hey all. So here I am again. I have finished with Locked Doors the second part of the Thicker then blood book. I have to say another amazing book. Blake really knows how to keep his readers coming back.

I have to say that this book started off a bit slower then the first book Dessert Places. But i can see why. He had to tell us what Andrew Z had been up to. How he was able to avoid being captured by police or FBI. you get introduced to not only Andrew Z again but all the other key people in this story also. There are two new additions to this book. A mousey book store clerk who is a big Andrew Z fan named Horace. He recognizes Andy as soon as he spots him in the bookstore he works at. Also we are introduced to Vicki King who is a Police officer in North Carolina. she quickly gets pulled into the story as our villain Luther is introduced back into our story. As we knew he would need be since he is now a key player in these books since Andy’s brother Orson is gone.

Once this book gets moving then wow I will tell you what It is another non stop thrill ride. Andrew plays a very compassionate role in this book which varies from the last book where he was a victim along for the ride. Bending at his brothers will. He takes on a more of a take charge role in this book which I really liked. Once he realizes that Luther Kite is back he leaves his solitude and security of hiding to go find Luther who has abducted his dead best friends wife Beth.

Also in this book we get to meet Luther’s parents and I gotta tell you they are a terrifying duo. Now had I read these books first I would think Luther and his parents where just plain old psycopaths. I would think well no wonder Luther is how he is look what he grew up in. He didn’t have a chance. These people are twisted and as sick as they come which again makes them as appealing to the reader as their son. Also though you find your self separating the bunch. (or at least i did) I wanted Luther to live so I could continue to read him but his parents I wanted them to meet their demise. Weird huh?

Luther takes andrew on an elaborately planned journey through the recesses of hell. As always in these books there are clear villains and clear heroes. Andrew needed Vicki to see him as a villain yet he wanted her to know that he was not the monster that she believed he was. He has an inner struggle but in the end he tells her about what Orson did to him and made him do in the dessert. This only proves to make the reader like Andy better. (again at least this reader did) It’s not until later in the book that Vicki learns what Andrew told her was true.

This books ending is phenomenal! I truly loved it. Its action packed with lots of twist’s and turns. It keeps you guessing as to will he live will she make it out of there. and thinking damn I wasn’t expecting that.. LOL Blake Crouch knows how to deliver a good ending and this book was certainly no different. I don’t want to ruin the ending so as always I won’t tell you anything of it. You are just going to have to read the book. Trust me you won’t regret it.

This book like Dessert Places also has and alternate ending. I am currently reading it. I will post and update about the alternate ending when I am done with it. Then I will be on to the next part of the book.

UPDATE: I just finished the alternate ending to Locked Doors. While it was good I truly enjoyed the published ending more. The only thing I will say about this is again it ends the book in a way that Andrew Z’s story can not be continued like it is in Break You which I will be reading next. But also for this reader it offered me an ending with Luther that seemed very unbelievable to me. Also parts of it made Luther out to be this meek and meager small man following around on the coat tails of his father. Also he ends up in the very end of the alternate ending as a pastor and preaching to a congrigation. I just much rather Luther be who is instead of trying to hide it behind the doors of a church. Now with that said. I am still a huge fan of Blake Crouch and the alternate ending as well as the whole book thus far is brilliantly written.

As always thanks for taking the time to read my reviews. I know as a writer I always enjoy knowing people are really reading me.

Until next time.

Review for Dessert places By Blake Crouch

Posted in Book Reviews, reading, Uncategorized with tags , on February 7, 2012 by firequeen3

Hello all. Okay so I am actually reading thicker then blood which is the book that has all three Andrew Z books in it. It is in sections per book which is cool Mr. Crouch still made it multiple books but all under one cover. So this is my review of the first book under the cover Thicker then blood, Dessert Places. This book is so easy for the reader to immediately fall into. Andrew Z is a unique character and when the story really gets going (which doesn’t take long) it’s one of those can’t put down reads. This is the first time I am reading Blake Crouch by himself without J.A. Konrath. So Andrew Z gets a letter from an unknown saying he has a body buried on his property with incriminating evidence both on the body and in Andrews house. This starts off the action. Andrew literally sets his life on hold to take care of this mess. He is in fear of this person going to the cops and telling them about the incriminating Evidence. Little does he know that is the least of his worries. He follows the persons instructions to the tee except he does bring a gun with him. When Andrew finds out that this person is his own twin brother Orson it really makes the story more riveting for the reader. I have read Orson on one other occasion in the serial killer uncut book. Also I guess I was wrong now that I think of it I did real a novella of Blake’s called Bad girl about one of my favorites of his serial killers Lucy.

Anyway Andrew’s brother seems harmless at first besides the fact that he killed someone and framed his brother for the murder. In his own twisted way it was his way of getting his brother out to his cabin in the dessert for some education. I found that interesting. Only the educating Orson was showing Andy was not what andy was expecting at all. Andy quickly finds out his brother is not only a serial killer but also a killer called the heart surgeon. Andy with a lot of  blackmail is led to do things he never thought he was capable of. This first story in the book really pushes the envelope on the family ties that hold these two now almost estranged brothers. Orson finally lets Andy go but andy can’t keep his secret to himself and ends up telling his best friend and neighbor walter about all that had occurred in the dessert. By doing this he sets into motion a bunch of things that lead up Andy and his best friend Walter planning to kill his brother.

When orson is not a serial killer and hunting his next victim he is a professor at a college in Vermont by the name of David. Andy breaks into his twins house and ends up hiding in a closet due to orson coming home unexpectedly. He sits in the closet while an unsuspetcing female avoids being orisons next victim. When orson is dead asleep Andy comes out of the closet and drugs his twin up with some Ativan. Though the medicine works Orson before the full effect takes place manages to get at andy and bust his face up. Andy calls his best friend walter and they together get Orson into the car to take him to the burial spot they had picked out. Things go very wrong here and lets just say that Orson is not the one that ends up in the hole.

This also sets off a whole bunch of other events Andy pissed and frankly not very right with himself makes some bad decisions that land him and his brother out in the dessert in a snow storm trapped in this twins car. The end of this was not what I expected which by the way is so awesome. And what is more awesome is that there is a hyper link to view an alternate ending (very Cool.) I however have not read it. I did just finish that part of the book and have to page back a ways to get to the hyper look but I am looking forward to reading it. I don’t want to spoil the Book for you so I m not going to telling you anything of the ending of this book. I highly suggest this book so far from what I have read in this series. Blake is inventing and wicked with his way of thinking. leaves the reader saying How in the hell does he come up with this stuff. 🙂 As a writer myself I strive for that when people read my book also. I am no where near Blake’s caliber but one day I sure hope to be.

Okay so thats it for now. I hope you all enjoyed this review and I will be back when I have finished with Locked Doors which is the next in this series.

UPDATE: Okay so I read the alternate ending and When Blake Crouch said it was  literal Mind F**K He was sure not joking. If you get dessert places or Thicker then Blood be sure to check out the alternate ending WOW is all I can tell you without giving it away. I am pleased with the ending they published tho because the only thing wrong with the alternate ending was that it wouldn’t of left it open for another Andrew Z book. Okay I have already started Trapped doors and when I am finished I will have my review up. 🙂

Review for stirred by Blake Crouch and J.a. Konrath

Posted in Book Reviews, reading, Uncategorized on February 3, 2012 by firequeen3

Okay so here we are again with what has to be my favorite writing duo. Blake and J.A. are both wickedly inventive and most certainly it’s an understatement to call them talented. I have read j. a alone but yet have to read any of Crouch’s stuff yet but trust me I plan to I have finished stirred and now am moving onto reading thicker then blood which is a compilation of three of his books together and I am excited seriously can’t wait to read it. These two seriously have a fan for life in this writer.

Okay anyhow on to my review of stirred I am not going to go through the whole book as I have in my past reviews I am just going to do some highlights and tell you my thoughts. These two can do no wrong in my eyes They are fabulous together and I seriously hope this isn’t their last book they write together. That would be such a shame. Okay with that said Stirred is a crazy emotion filled and funny roller coaster ride. The reader follows J.A. Konrath’s most infamous Heroin through not only her tribulations in this book but also through her life and her pregnancy. She is playing a cat and mouse game with one of the most horrific yet brilliant serial killers I have ever had the pleasure to read. Luther Kite from Blake crouch’s book’s Is one of my favorite villains There is something about him that just makes this reader want to read more and more of him. Also it brings back another of my favorite villains. Lucy, though she is now disfigured and in constant pain she is still pure evil on legs. She and her now partner Donaldson (who she teamed up with in serial killers uncut) have managed to escape from a prison hospital. They are not the stealthy cunning serial killers they use to be which makes them even more endearing to the reader. They blunder through thier escape and through much of the book also but it’s a mixture of feelings for this reader. they both were once so dominant and wicked you loved to hate them. Yet now they are in constant pain and their antics are almost comical. They have gained something also. They both use to love to work alone and the thought of working as a team once revolted them. As a matter of fact they have each tried to kill each other. Through they’re a great team and I honestly do not miss them as a separate entity in these books they work well together and through out the books I have read them in they have gained humanity and become not soft I guess but they now have compassion. Only for each other as they know what the other has had to endure but still it does it appeals to the reader and makes them real to them. (or to me it did.)

Okay one to the main bulk of the book Luther Kite (from Dessert Places) is playing games with Jack Daniel’s (from Shaken, Whiskey sour and more) It’s hard to know who to cheer for in this book. One minute your loving the Heroin yet the next the villain is oh so bad it makes you want to just help him get out of a tough spot if he happens to get into one. Hard to know exactly where this book will end. The writer’s throw you a bunch of twists and turns through out the whole book one minute you think Jack is off the hook and the next Luther is reeling her right back in. Once he has her right where he wants her is when it starts to get super interesting. He puts her through what I would call a serial killers fun house. 🙂 Its fun to read and it left me trying to figure out what position she would be put into next. Jacks strong will is what will make her prevail though. Not that anyone wants to see Jack come to an end. (I know I don’t but that isn’t up to me.) Her disregard for not only herself but her very pregnant self alarmed me a bit but it also opens the readers eyes to the feelings some mothers do go through. Not every mother instantly bonds with the child growing in her belly. sometimes it happens when the baby arrives and some it sadly doesn’t happen with at all. 😦 yep heartbreaking huh? But none the less a fact of life sometimes. She had an unshaken will to save not only her love but her ex partner and now partner. Which I think just makes her even more appealing to the reader. She was put to the test in almost ever turn she took but she does not disappoint in the least. I wouldn’t say she was fearless but she had a bigger set then some of the Villains in other books I have read. 🙂

The end of this book was a serious surprise to me but I was surely not disappointed at all. The authors decided on a big twist in this book and well I can’t say or it would be a huge spoiler to other readers or fans of thiers. I will tell you though you won’t be disappointed not in the least. These two together is like Magic.

If you haven’t already I would suggest you read not only this one but all the others that Blake Crouch and J.A. Konrath have written not only together but also alone.

That’s it for now.

Until next time TTFN

Birds of Prey review

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , on February 1, 2012 by firequeen3

Hey all. Okay so I just finished up with a book called Birds of Prey By Blake Crouch and J.A. Konrath.

I have to say I have read a few by these two particular writers and they are absolutely FABULOUS both together and alone. I have read both as stand alone writers and also as a team and I like them both ways but when they team up I have to say it’s pure magic. Okay so anyway, Here goes Birds of prey is a part of a series really. This series started with a book called Serial, then they did Killers, Serial Killers Uncut and each of these characters have at some point made appearances or been the focus of other books they have written alone. As you can probably guess by the titles I just typed yes they are horror suspense books. This is the genre I usually enjoy the most and it’s also the genre i write in. okay so on to the book.

This particular book of theirs introduces you to characters I had already previously read But i also got to meet a couple I hadn’t heard of which is always a cool thing. it also gives you a back story on a couple of characters to let you know how and why they may have turned out to be the sadistic serial killers that they are. Not that they might not have turned out that way anyway but usually there is a reason for such sickness in a person. or so the shrinks say.. 🙂 One such character’s family was brutalized and also had their young daughter taken by two escaped convicts. A 5 year old Luther kite ( who by the way is one of my favorites) was seriously traumatized by this whole ordeal as was his whole family. They were just never the same after the incident. The book opens by introducing you to a young Orson and his twin brother Andy. orson expresses to his brother that he knows he is different then other kids. Andy asks how. After a bit of coaxing orson tells andy that he wishes some people would die though disturbed by this news Andy still loves and trusts his brother. This part of the book is interesting to me and I was so glad they opened with this. As it shows that some killers don’t end up killers because of a trauma in their life they just are killers. They have strong feelings about death and human life and have total disregard for both.

The next part focus’s on Little 5 year old Luther kite and the tragedy his family endures. not if you haven’t read the book I don’t want to spoil any of it for you so I won’t say what happens.

The next chapter focuses on two characters I had never had the pleasure of meeting before so it was a real treat to me as I truly enjoyed Both of these characters but I have to say Alex was my favorite of these wo. Okay so we are introduced to Alex Kork and her brother Charles. these are definitely some messed up siblings I got the jest in this part of the book that they did more then just hang out together as brother and sister. i was looking forward to hearing more about both after this particular chapter.

The next chapter deals with a character named Donaldson now I have read him before and though he is about a filthy a character as they come i do still enjoy him especially when paired with my favorite character from Blake is lucy. but in this particular part opt the book he is alone. I do enjoy hearing about his escapades but I much more enjoy him when he and Lucy are either teamed or trying to kill each other. What made this particular part interesting was that Donaldson is at this time in his life not only a murderer but he currently holds a job as a courier. Which benefits his hobby really. He is carrying a package for a gentleman who has set up a meeting in the middle of no where now to normal people this would be setting off bells but Donaldson is not your normal person. He also isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer. Anyway the gentleman he is delivering the package to is also not your ordinary person and they both end up face to face with each other knifes. I always enjoy when two of the serial killers meet up. always makes for an interesting chapter. Again if you haven’t read the boo i really don’t want to ruin it for you.

The book jumps back and forth between multiple characters. It isn’t confusing because the authors made it very easy to follow and started a different chapter between characters although i am sure if these two wanted to they could effortlessly switch characters without any confusion to their readers. we meet up with Luther Kite again while he is in college where he has a professor who he finds odd. Now if Luther Kite finds someone odd then ya know something is up.

We run into orson again only orson is the professor that luther found to be odd. Small world huh? they find they have an awful lot in common and so a friendship/ partnership starts.

next we meet up with Charles cork only alone without his delightful sister. He is in the middle of no where with a flat tire. No to normal people this wouldn’t be a problem only again Charles isn’t normal and so it does pose a problem since he has his latest victim in his trunk and troopers have a habit of stopping for stranded pedestrians. When a car approaches to offer him help he quickly is set on edge as the half dead prostitute in his trunk could be a problem. Charles is paranoid and feeling exposed. Charles cork learns that sometimes things and people are not as they seem and sometimes you are pleasantly surprised.

We are then greeted again by Charles Kork only this time with his sister and she is pissed that he is getting married. and only because she is against him getting married. Told you they have an odd sibling ship. Charles try’s to let off some steam by frying a hooker. Needless to say it doesn’t go so well for him.

Another new character to me is Javier. He is not one of my favorites as it seems he is just handy with a gun as opposed to some of our more creative serial killers in the series. Anyway he is carrying a package when he see’s a sign for a bullets, babes, guns and knife show. Being the gun lover he is he stops which brings us to a pow wow of serial killer sorts. We are introduced to another character I have never met Porter who is putting the gun and ammo show on. he needs to pay off a loan to a wise guy who helped him by giving him the money for the show. Also I am familiar with the next character introduced into the story as she is the infamous Jack Daniel’s one of konrath’s most prolific heroins. I have previously read her in a book called truck stop. Where she manages to get away and save a hooker from a newbie serial killer with a certain taste for feet. She meets up with Clay who is a gun seller at the show and also runs into tequila who also stars in konrath’s book shot of tequila. Also at the gun show is Mr. k who I was introduced to in the first Serial killers book Serial. He meets up with Donaldson and gives him the gift of murder. We also for a very brief moment in the book meet up with Lucy. (my favorite from this series) Luther Kite is also present at the show. His weapon of choice is usually a knife of some sort he has an affection for odd told of torture which makes him very interesting to the reader because you never know what he will be using on his next victim. Charles and Luther meet up again after their long ago meeting in the field in the middle of no where with some very hungry crows and a dead prostitute. He introduces Luther to his sex wild sister Alex who immediately takes a liking to Luther. Alex and Charles invite Luther to the gun range later. Even though Luther prefers knives he takes them up on their offer. Luther is taken with Alex right away. Meanwhile our seasoned cop jack Daniel’s and her new friend Clay along with her old friend Tequila head over to porters gun range for a bit. Luther runs into Javier where a potentially bad situation turns into a friendship of sorts after Javier learns Luther busted the nose of some guy giving him crap earlier.

Mr K isn’t at the show just for pleasure he needs to help collect on the debt Porter (Porter also own’s the shooting range that Jack and her friends where practicing at earlier.)owes the wise guy. In the midst of partly dismembering / circumcising Mr. porter he is met buy a whole group consisting of Charles, Alex his sister, Luther, Javier. They all want in on the action of assisting Mr. K with Porter. They set up a sort of game so that Mr. Porter is still alive for the wise guy to be able to pay him but he is still their moving, living, breathing target. This is a big scene in the book and I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so I am going to leave this part at that.

Our Cop Jack Daniel’s in the meantime had retired to a bar for a drink with her two friends. The bar was jam pack though due to the show. They decide they are going to just find a liquor store and share a shot. They hear gunshots when they are getting ready to leave coming from Porters shooting range. Needless to say things start to get a bit busy here as the three good guys go to check out the commotion at the shooting range. The group of serial Killers are still having fun with Mr. Porter. Jack and her two friends break up their fun and everyone takes off running. Charles and Alex together. Luther and Javier flee to the packed bar Jack and her two friends were just at. and Mr K by himself. With no one caught and the local police on the scene Jack Takes off to the quietness of her home and her boyfriend who she had been contemplating cheating on with Clay. Then the story jumps to the hooker who had gotten away from Charles Kork. She was now a drug addict and living on the streets pretty much. She had managed to stay away from hooking and became a purse snatcher. she was in need of a fix and had gotten some news of one that a hooker she knew told her about. This turned out to be a bad night for Moni the ex hooker as Luther kite ends up in the same alley as she. needless to say she was no longer the one that got away.

The story then picks up with Luther again but it doesn’t introduce him as Luther in the beginning of this chapter it speaks of a Doctor Carmichael. If you have read luther before then trust me after a page or so you start to realize that this doctor is not really a doctor at all. Alex Kork is in an institution and Luther is going to see her. Now some time has passed as some stuff has happened to alex. It was unclear to me exactly how she ended up in the asylum but the authors do drop little clues. Through out this chapter. Earlier you heard me say that Alex and Luther where taken with each other well this chapter proves it and a steamy sex scene insures right in front of a two way mirror with a asylum worker on the other side very happily watching. This is where the book sort of wraps up. After their very hot sexual encounter Luther offers to assist in Alex’s escape from the asylum. Alex and Luther strike up a sort of deal to become partners but Alex warns Luther that the cop who put her in the asylum and hurt her Is her prey and he is not to touch him. With Luther’s exit the book ends. I know sad right? Well I was sad until I learned the two authors would be doing a book called stirred. Yey for me and when I have finished it I will be sure to post my review on that.

Until next time.
